We loved the contour wall we did in our rental (Contour Wall 1) so much we decided to do it again in our house as one of the first projects. We originally only did the main wall using as many colors as we had on hand, but after a few months of looking at the bare white wall in the dining room I ended up adding the wrap around striping. Unplanned, the mirror made the stripes look like they were dancing and that the wall was twice as long as it actually is.

For the record, the colorful rug was bought over 6 months after the wall was painted. I am guessing the rug designer was inspired by my design 🙂
