I was eager to start another intarsia project, so I flipped the page in my pattern book and stated on this frog. This one had a lot more pieces and required layering them as well. Same approach as with the (second) fish I spent a good amount of time in the beginning with laying out the pattern so that it would line up correctly with the grain as well as have consistent coloring. Even though the pattern provides guidance with placement, in regards to grain direction I made some adjustments based on things I learned from the fish project.
